Season 6: New Horizons

Season 6: New Horizons is a short one, following the sprint tradition we started in Season 5. This is your second window to qualify for the Ranked Mode playoffs, so the stakes are officially live.

The Checkmate Arena: High Speed, Low Cost

We are changing the pace of the Checkmate Arena to favor more games and faster rotations.

→ The Buy-in: Dropped to 1,000 M8.

→ The Points: 500 for a win. 100 for a draw or loss.

At 1,000 M8 per entry, the Arena is now about volume and consistency. Get in there and rack up the points.

The Community Goal (The 1M Match Challenge)

This season, everyone wins together. We’ve set a target of 1,000,000 total matches across all modes. As the community hits these totals, the $CHECK prize pool for the season grows for everyone.

→ Start: 40,000 $CHECK

→ 35k Matches: 60,000 $CHECK

→ 100k Matches: 100,000 $CHECK

→ 250k Matches: 150,000 $CHECK

→ 500k Matches: 180,000 $CHECK

→ 750k Matches: 210,000 $CHECK

→ 1,000,000 Matches: 250,000 $CHECK

Please note that rewards do not accumulate

How to Qualify & Earn

The total prize pool is split across three Game Modes. Here is how you get your share.

→ Quick Mode (15% of pool): Play at least 70 matches in Quick Mode.

→ Ranked (35% of pool): Break into the Top 100 Ranking.

→ Checkmate Arena (50% of pool): the higher you rank, the more $CHECK you earn.

The Road to the Top 64

The Ranked Ladder has reset. We are tracking performance across S5, S6, and S7 to decide who makes the Quarterly Playoffs. Only the Top 64 players get in. If S5 didn’t go your way, this is where you make up ground.
