# Spells

Spells are the defining feature of Anichess. Each has its own effect, mana cost, and cast limit per game. Some are subtle; others are game-ending. You don't need to know all 14 at once. Start with your defaults and build from there.

Spells will be unlocked as you progress further into the game. Unlocked by default: Parkour Mech, Slip, House Recruit, Bis-Hop 2.0, Imposter.
