M8 is the points layer of Anichess. It rewards consistent play and gives you access to Checkmate Arena.
### Earning M8
Complete 15 Standard matches per week to earn M8. The amount depends on your rating class. Earning mechanics may update each season.
You can also earn M8 by staking $CHECK (see the Staking section below).

Claim window: 08:00 UTC / 04:00 ET / 10:00 CET / 16:00 HKT
Unclaimed M8 accumulates. Weekend claims may be delayed but stay valid for 24 hours
### Checkmate Arena
Hold M8 to enter Checkmate Arena, the weekly random draw for $CHECK prizes.
• Open daily: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM UTC
• 50 players selected randomly each week
• Minimum 500 $CHECK each
• More matches played = higher odds of being selected
